Win a trip to Orford, a coastal village in Suffolk where big skies, shifting shingle and centuries of stories will provide an unforgettable two-night stay

Based at The Crown and Castle, a stylish seaview hideaway known for its character and warm hospitality, you’ll return from daytime explorations to indulgent dinners in the hotel’s acclaimed two AA rosette restaurant, where Suffolk’s freshest ingredients are transformed into bold seasonal dishes.

Begin each morning with the call of seabirds drifting across the estuary,  then set out on foot along winding coastal trails, or take to the quiet country lanes on electric bikes (rental is included in your prize). With Suffolk’s vast horizons and ever-changing light, every route feels like a new discovery.

English Heritage’s Orford Castle, a striking medieval fortress, is just steps from the hotel. Climb the stone staircases, explore hidden chambers and uncover the castle’s secrets. From the rooftop, take in sweeping views across the coastline and dive into the enduring mystery of the legendary ‘Wild Man of Orford’.

The prize also includes a unique private tour of Orford Ness. Once a top-secret military testing site, this remote shingle spit – now cared for
by the National Trust – is a fascinating place where nature and history collide. Arrive by boat from Orford Quay and step into a landscape shaped by wind and wildlife. Keep an eye out for grey seals, seabirds and the elusive Orford brown hare!

The village is home to renowned artisan producers. Take home a gourmet hamper from Pinney’s of Orford, filled with award-winning smoked fish, pâtés, meats and cheeses! You’ll also receive a £100 voucher to spend at Snape Maltings, a vibrant hub of independent shops, galleries and cafés, and home to a world-famous concert hall.

This extraordinary prize has been created in partnership with tourism businesses from The Suffolk Coast, the official tourism body for East Suffolk (thesuffolkcoast.co.uk)
