This boutique hotel in St Helier has launched a Blue Mind Reset-inspired break designed to make the most of the benefits of being close to the ocean. The recently completed 48-mile Jersey Tidal Trail, a coastal walking route circling the island and shaped by some of Europe’s biggest tides, offers some of the most stunning views you could hope to find anywhere.

The coastline around Jersey – the largest of the Channel Islands – varies dramatically: the southern stretch features long beaches and seafront promenades, while to the north, you’ll see steeper cliffs, wooded trails and smaller fishing bays. Other areas include the wide surf beaches at St Ouen, historic harbour walks around Gorey and exposed tidal landscapes which emerge from the sea as it retreats.
There is plenty of coastal walking easily accessible from the hotel. During my stay, I headed down to the long, sandy beach in front of St Helier and made my way around St Aubin’s Bay to the pretty marina in St Aubin village, stopping off on the way, for a coffee at the welcoming Gunsite Beach Café.

From here, continue over the hill to stunning St Brelade’s Bay, where you can swim in a sheltered cove, then head to Oyster Box for some local seafood. If the sun is shining, as it was on my walk, you’d be hard pushed to find a more beautiful day by the coast anywhere in the world.
What Are the Rooms Like?
The hotel has 38 deluxe double rooms and eight suites, with contemporary interiors, large windows and gorgeous granite-clad bathrooms. Rooms provide air conditioning, flat-screen televisions, complimentary wifi, espresso machines and bathrobes. Guests also have access to parking, breakfast and daily housekeeping.

How About the Food?
Dining at the Bohemia restaurant is one of the highlights of staying here. The kitchen is led by Michelin Young Chef of the Year Tom Earnshaw and has retained its Michelin star for 22 consecutive years, making it one of the destination foodie spots on the island.
The menus focus on produce sourced from Jersey, including locally landed seafood, oysters, rich dairy products from the famous Jersey cows, and seasonal vegetables, such as the renowned Jersey potato. Guests can choose tasting menus or à la carte dining. A meal in this outstanding restaurant is included in the package – see the menus at bohemiajersey.com.

There is also a more relaxed bar and terrace menu available, serving snacks, lighter lunches, afternoon teas and cocktails.
Any Luxurious Touches?
Use of The Club Spa is included as part of the Blue Mind Reset package and features an indoor salt-water pool, outdoor pool, a thermal suite, herbal steam room, salt cabin, experience shower and relaxation room with heated loungers. The spa also has five treatment rooms, including a couples’ treatment room and a Rasul mud room.
Treatments include massages, facials and body therapies using Decléor products. The outdoor pool terrace opens during warmer months, while the indoor spa and thermal facilities are available throughout the year, and anyone on a Blue Mind Reset benefits from a 55-minute facial as part of their package. The therapists here are excellent and dedicated to ensuring the guests make the most of the health benefits they offer during their stay.

What Will It Cost?
The Blue Mind Reset package starts from approximately £336 per person (prices vary according to the season). This includes a two-night stay in a double deluxe room with breakfast, Jersey Tidal Trail itineraries for self-guided walks, dinner at the Michelin-starred Bohemia restaurant, use of the spa and a 55-minute hydrating facial.
