WHAT’S THE BUZZ?
This awarding-winning hotel offers an environmentally-friendly stay without compromising on luxury, taste or style. The Grade II-listed Victorian villa was converted in 2010 with careful attention to its carbon footprint. Wood for the wardrobes was sourced locally, the beds are made entirely from natural materials and created especially for the hotel, and electricity is generated on-site by a Combined Heat and Power unit. Even the wallpaper was specifically commissioned using Forestry Stewardship Council paper, vegetable inks and wrapped in natural starch. The 24-hour bar boasts what it believes is the country’s widest range of organic spirits, UK brewed beers and biodynamic wines.
ANY LUXURIOUS TOUCHES?
Delightfully soft organic goose-duvets and lovely crisp organic sheets. Large and master doubles have free-standing roll-top baths, super king-sized beds and bathrobes. We loved the homemade biscuits in all the rooms!
WHAT ARE THE ROOMS LIKE?
There are 32 rooms with a natural green, brown and cream colour scheme, which complements the wood furnishings and stone basins.
BEST SEA VIEW?
You can’t quite see the sea from the hotel, but Bournemouth’s beautiful, sandy beach is just a five-minute stroll away.

Arbor, the 2-AA Rosette restaurant, offers an imaginative menu of local-sourced and organic food.
