Coast visits the Crown Spa Hotel in Scarborough. Review by Charlotte Blake

WHAT’S THE BUZZ?
The Crown Spa Hotel on the esplanade is Scarborough’s only four-star and highest rated AA hotel on the Yorkshire coast.

WHAT ARE THE ROOMS LIKE?
We stayed on the top (executive) floor in one of the 24 contemporary rooms with great town and sea views. Other rooms include the Mini Suites which have a bedroom, bathroom and lounge, Victoria Suites, which have a bedroom, dining room and lounge area with two bathrooms, and the feature Deluxe rooms which are situated on the first floor with views over South Bay.

ANY LUXURIOUS TOUCHES?
Each room on the executive floor has an inbuilt media system in the bathroom and a telescope for stargazing at night.

BEST SEA VIEW?
From the bedrooms, where you can lie in bed and gaze out to sea.

HOW ABOUT THE FOOD?
The Taste restaurant serves a blend of European and traditional Yorkshire cuisine made with fresh, local produce. We had the chef’s catch of the day, which was sea bream.

WHAT WILL IT COST?
Prices for the executive floor start from £97.90 B&B, per room. Visit crownspahotel.com to book.
