From bottle-feeding newborn lambs to meeting kids in hand-knitted jumpers on the Scottish coast, these coastal countryside lambing events are the perfect family day out to enjoy the best of early spring.

At this working farm near Worthing, 800 ewes will be lambing in the barns, and a visit is the perfect way to experience the magic of new life. Buy your tickets in advance for £6/£4 (coombes.co.uk).

Broadlees Farm, Dover, Kent
3-19 April 2026

Broadlees opens to the public during the Easter holidays, to educate visitors about the farm’s busy lambing period. Guests may even get to see a lamb being born. No booking required, tickets £9/£7 (broadleesfarm.com).

Snettisham Park, near Kings Lynn, Norfolk

This working farm is home to more than 300 breeding ewes, so lambing is an important part of the calendar. In spring, visitors can help with the feeding of orphan lambs and learn about the animals. Farm tickets cost £10.50/£9.50 (snettishampark.co.uk).

Goats in Coats Festival, Lunan Bay Farm, Arbroath
11-12 and 18-19 April

They may not be lambs, but we’re sure you’ll jump at the chance to meet the new kids on the block at the Goats in Coats Easter Festival, on a regenerative cashmere farm on Scotland’s east coast.
