CREATING A BUZZ…
It was his love of the Devon countryside and passion to help the save bees that inspired Will Bees, founder of Will Bees Bespoke, to create his stunning new fabric collection.
Will Bees teamed up with Emma Mawston, former head of design for Liberty Art Fabrics. Emma’s designs are very much inspired by nature and the flora and fauna around her. Will and Emma met at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2016 and a beautiful new design collaboration was born.
Will Bees started the business in 2014, in the coastal town of Salcombe in Devon. Starting with a handful of accessories, all handmade on-site, using traditional techniques, they instantly sold out. The bespoke side of the business came about when Will started personalising his leather pieces and now all items can be personalised with names or initials, for free.
Since then, Will has turned an old boat-building shed in Salcombe into an Aladdin’s cave of beautiful, unique and artisan-made accessories and homewares. The shed backs on to the stunning Salcombe estuary where Will can throw open the back doors and let the outside in.
This philosophy permeates his and Emma’s collection. Emma’s fabric designs are very much about bringing the outside in, and being able to connect with your environment and the natural world around you.
Every online order placed on Will Bees’ bespoke website will receive a free packet of meadow flower seeds to plant. Will’s aim is to support the pollinators, namely the humble bumblebee. He also supports the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

The Point Restaurant in Exmouth, situated right on the marina, is under new ownership and already offering a great experience…Coast recently dined on fresh seafood including lobster, delicious moules marinere and scallops in garlic butter.
The restaurant also has a dry ageing fridge housing locally sourced beef, hand cut and cooked to your liking. We’re told Sunday feasts are on the menu for autumn and winter as well as Christmas lunch from £45, including dishes like seafood bisque, cote de boeuf as well as the obligatory turkey.
