Mother and daughter, Julie Lankester and Hannah McLoughlin, of West Sussex wedding styling business Colour Pop Occassions share their favourite West Sussex coast places

Inspired by the ever-changing seascape surrounding their home, a mother and daughter followed their dream to set up a successful wedding styling business. Here they share their favourite places in the West Sussex area. Take note!

The Lobster Pot in Felpham for local seafood. It’s a heritage building with vaulted ceilings but we like to sit at the tables outside. They’ve got heaters so even in winter you can sit by the beach (01243 862751).

The Fox Inn is another good option in Felpham. This olde-worlde pub was once frequented by the poet William Blake. It serves unpretentious food and a good choice of ales (01243 865308, thefoxfelpham.co.uk).

Rope Walk in nearby Littlehampton takes you over the dunes and down onto the pebble beach towards the harbour. There’s a nice little café there too.

Riverside Fish is a fishmonger’s in a timbered shack in Littlehampton where you can get freshly caught seafood straight from the boats. We love the sea bass they sell!

Fusion is a wood-fired pizza and gin palace. It’s just one of the many cool new bars and restaurants in Bognor Regis, which is going through something of a regeneration. In the summer Fusion has a van selling directly onto the seafront (01243 830892, facebook.com/fusionbognor).
