Love them or hate them, drones are giving us a different view of the world. Here, we’ve picked our favourite British coastal landscapes from Fergus Kennedy’s new book, Drone Photography & Video Masterclass

A new genre of landscape photography has emerged over the past few years, which requires the additional skills of a pilot to master. The invention of the drone has led to an explosion in aerial photography. However, to fly a drone you don’t just need to have a good eye for a great image, you need to comply with legal requirements, develop your flying skills and adhere to safety precautions. As well as covering these areas, author Fergus Kennedy also addresses planning, composition, lighting, focus and exposure in his new book.

Visually exciting, it is packed with extraordinary aerial images. With the number of drones in the world expected to rise from six million to 67 million by 2021, aerial photography is certainly on the up.
